Moving to Norfolk or Virginia Beach? Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Help From the Pro’s

Are you new to Virginia Beach or Norfolk and you’ve brought pets with you?

Dog walker Norfolk Virginia Beach @Pascal ThauvinThe last thing you think about when moving is.. what do I do with my dogs and cats when I get there? We’re here to help! We welcome all military families in the midst of relocation, and also take great care of our families transferring to the area for corporate work. We can come to your hotel, motel, travel lodge, inn, camper park, temporary rental or tent to sit with your cats and/or dogs! (We’ll need an address for your tent.) With 10 (at last count) pet sitters and dog walkers working the Hampton Roads area, we’re sure to have someone close by to your Norfolk or Virginia Beach location. All of our sitters and walkers are well versed, well trained and proven to be exemplary care providers for all species.

Allow us to help your pets transition from old to new with care that rivals yours.

Norfolk Pet Sitter Virginia BeachWe are available for daily dog walking between 9am and 3pm and we’re also available for vacation weekends, long trips or transition weekends while you’re still moving.

If you need advice, we’re glad to help! Send us an email at care@pppvb.com and we’ll gladly recommend veterinary services, pet stores, dog parks and pet health tips for living in the Hampton Roads climate. Heat stroke, heat exhaustion and sunburn are serious concerns with our high temperatures and even higher humidity, which make it difficult for dogs to both sweat and breathe efficiently.

Quick Tips

  • Keep your pets inside during the hottest hours of the day here, 10am to 2pm. If you must take them outside, keep it to 15 minutes or less!
  • Keep them off asphalt. If it’s too hot for your foot, it’s too hot for their paws!
  • Beware the beach police. Most public beaches ban dogs from Memorial Day to Labor Day between 10am and 6pm. Don’t get a ticket!
  • For cats, we recommend keeping them indoor-only. Did you know we have a large population of foxes here? Rabies is also common here, so keeping cats out of harms way entirely is the best option for them.
